Description of Opportunity
Plantation Farm is set on the edge of the beautiful Hampshire downs and is home to racehorse trainer Richard Bandey. Plantation Farm is an established training facility for flat and National Hunt racehorses. With access to 5 furlong all-weather hill gallop, a deep sand round gallop, a large indoor school and acres of farmland to hack around, the horses have a varied and enjoyable training regime, bringing them to peak fitness whilst keeping them happy and fresh.
Plantation farm has a number of horses in racing as well as taking in horses for breaking and pre-training. The relaxed environment in the yard is the perfect start for young horses, and the team at Plantation Farm have many years of experience breaking-in horses.
They have a small team of experienced staff who are well placed to give guidance to an apprentice to teach them how things should be done correctly.
Regular yard duties expected and previous equine experience is essential. This is a non-riding position so you will be yard based assisting with the effective organisation and maintenance of the commercial racing business premises. You will also be involved in provide non-ridden exercise regimes safely
and according to instruction.

GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
