Farley Hall Equestrian
Description of Opportunity
Farley Hall Equestrian Centre are looking for a level 2/3 equine apprentice to work at their full livery yard catering mainly for competition horses with working owners who expect a very high standard of livery.
This is an ideal role for someone who is used to the basics of handling perhaps through their own horse/pony, and is confident with big, strong horses.
Further training will be provided; the Yard Manager and Estate Manager are experienced event riders and the Estate Manager is a BE Accredited coach.
Farley Hall is a full livery yard catering mainly for competition horses with working owners who expect a very high standard of livery, with immaculate beds, communal areas and a high level of competence in handling fit horses.
Training will be given but we do need someone who is used to the basics of handling perhaps through their own horse/pony, and is confident with big, strong horses. There is a high ratio of staff to horses, there will be a maximum of 22 horses with 4-5 staff members plus the apprentice, meaning plenty of oversight and training available.
Yard manager and estate manager are experienced event riders and the estate manager is a BE Accredited coach. Staff are expected to work 7am/7.30am-4pm/4.30pm but time for training can be given most afternoons.
All usual yard duties expected as well as field and arena maintenance.

- Essential that you have experience of handling and working with horses.
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Team work and excellent communication skills
- Takes initiative in completing tasks as and when needed.
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
