Kiteleys Solicitors is one of the fastest growing and highly regarded law firms in the South with six offices across Dorset. Due to our expansion, we are looking to take on a highly motivated Legal Administrator Apprentice to join our friendly Highcliffe Office.


Key Responsibilities

To work with the Wills & Estate Planning Department to create and maintain a happy working environment where a friendly yet professional service is offered to all clients. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Being the first point of contact in relation to incoming enquiries
  • Greeting clients, screening phone calls and taking detailed messages
  • Photocopying, scanning and filing documents
  • Audio-typing and printing finished documents
  • Arranging appointments and providing refreshments to clients
  • Provide assistance in sorting incoming post as well as in processing outgoing post
  • Provide support to other staff for the smooth operation of the office and the wider team
  • Support solicitors by occasionally generating letters, typing letters and attendance notes using case management system and digital recording system.
  • Other administrative duties as directed by solicitors which may include data entry, word processing, establishing new case files and drafting simple correspondence

    • An excellent standard of written and spoken English
    • Be a good verbal and written communicator
    • Be very well organised with a good attention to details
    • Good IT skills, especially in Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Ability to learn new systems especially case management and digital recording systems

  • The ideal Legal Administration Apprentice will have a minimum of 5x GCSEs A – C (9 - 4) including Maths and English

  • Business Administrator Level 3 Standard (with Legal Pathway)
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths (if required)
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English (if required)
    • Be a real team player with a can-do attitude
    • Have good organisational skills but be confident enough to ask when unsure
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Be punctual and reliable
    • Have a mature perspective
    • Have a confident and friendly manner on the telephone
    • Be friendly, warm and welcoming to clients and colleagues in line with our values
    • Dresses appropriately for a legal office

Progression opportunities may be available following successful completion of the apprenticeship for the right person.
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. 25 days holiday. After 6 months probation, you will receive an extra day holiday for your birthday and company sick pay. Your pay rate will also be reviewed at this point. This is a permanent full-time position offering a generous holiday entitlement of 25 days.
