Description of Opportunity

Your duties will include:

  • Preparation and cooking food to a high standard and present for service in reasonable time frame
  • Creating traditional pub classic dishes plus specials
  • Taking responsibility for keeping the kitchen clean and completing food safety documentation
  • Ordering of all food items for the kitchen with support from Pub Manager
  • Using previous experience of working within a catering kitchen and hold a valid Food Safety level two qualification
  • Costing food menu and preparing gluten free meals

This role is based at a pub in Woore and must be able to travel without the need for public transport, however accommodation could be available if required.

Working 48 hours each week with 2 consecutive days off. Free meal whilst on duty. Food discounts at other times. 28 days holiday including bank holidays. Food service times of the pub are expected to be 12 – 8pm Wednesday to Saturday and 12 – 6pm on a Sunday.

Good communication skills, previous experience working within a busy pub kitchen, able to do ordering, creating of menu’s and able to supervise junior kitchen members and assist in their development.

It is expected that you would already hold a level 2 qualification, however if this is not the case but you have the experience you could be considered for a level 2 qualification.

Level 3 Chef de Partie Apprenticeship

Good attendance, able to deal with pressure, good at time management and attention to detail ensuring that all food is presented to highest level at all times.

Be offered full-time role of Head Chef.
