Data Analyst Apprentice

Overview: 

Savills is looking for an Apprentice Data Analyst to join the Cross Border Tenant Advisory team. The candidate will support our current team of analysts dealing with Savills’ portfolio visualization and analytics platform to customize content and analysis relevant to the firm’s clients, as well as monitor and understand core systems and data processes for building new functionality and content. 

Day-to-Day work: 

• Primarily using Alteryx and Tableau (among other software) to meet client design and business requirement specifications.



• Researching relevant available datasets.



• Cleaning and preparing datasets that will enhance our product.



• Responsible in supporting core processes required to pitch and support client deployments of our proprietary data analytics platform.



• Support client facing team members in maintaining connected platforms and ensuring data integrity.



• Support in creating, distributing, and improving documentation, training guides, and implementation guides.



• Support the team in introductory demos and pitching our data analytics platform to prospective clients.



• Work with close counterparts in other disciplines as part of a cross-functional team. 

In addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

• The candidate must be organised, be able to take initiative and build a rapport with the team.



• A self-motivated individual, they will also be able to demonstrate reliability and flexibility.



• Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an Apprentice.



• You will need the ability to manage a varied workload working as part of a team while also having the ability to use your own initiative and be passionate about delivering the best service possible for your team and clients. 

Experience and Knowledge: 

• You have recently completed a-levels and have an interest in data analytics and real estate. 

You have experience with the following: 

1. Cleaning and formatting data in Excel (or similar). 



2. Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel). 



3. Experience performing analysis with large datasets. 

• You have an interest in the following: 

1. Building Alteryx workflows 



2. Tableau and other visualisation tools (Power BI, D3, ESRI) 



3. Coding skills for analytics and data extraction (SQL, R, Python) 

• Strong data analysis skills combined with a keen understanding of business. 



• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts both verbally and in writing. 



• Ideally you have an interest in understanding commercial real estate.  

Entry requirements: 

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above and



• 2x A Levels (1 including Maths, Economics or ICT), or



• An International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT, or



• A Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject, or



• A BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits, or



• A minimum of 15 months of experience within the last 24 months or 18 months in the last 36 months in an IT role.

Specific roles that are acceptable are: 

1. Data Administrator 



2. Business Analyst 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
