About the Programme:

Guy Carpenter have full-time roles available with our Client Support Services team, based in Witham, Essex. This team proficiently navigates the complexities of reinsurance coverage reporting, accounting and settlement in every specialty and every market in the world.

Join the team on the Guy Carpenter Apprenticeship Programme and you'll begin working towards your Certificate of Insurance (CII) Level 3 Insurance Practitioner qualification. You'll have 20% of your work time dedicated to focus and develop the required skills, knowledge and behaviours to achieve the apprenticeship, and you'll also be able to enjoy a complete learning experience through a range of training events, networking activities and business support.

What is a typical ‘Day in the Life’ of a Guy Carpenter Apprentice?

Roles and duties will vary dependent upon the business unit – however, Guy Carpenter Apprentices can expect to:

  • Gain an understanding of how Guy Carpenter meet the needs of their clients;
  • Gain an understanding of the key principles of risk, insurance and reinsurance;
  • Effectively deal with a variety of business situations through on-the-job experience;
  • Build a network with fellow trainees on the programme, alumni from previous years and stakeholders from across the business;
  • Understand the different roles within the industry and how they interact with each other;
  • Contribute to the achievement of personal and departmental targets, key performance indicators and business objectives;
  • Research ways to resolve issues and achieve the best possible outcome for Guy Carpenter and their clients;
  • Manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines while maintaining high standard and integrity of service to Guy Carpenter business divisions and external clients;
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Guy Carpenter colleagues, clients and external parties;
  • Proactively manage tasks in accordance with specific client requirements and in accordance with departmental procedures;
  • Produce and maintain accurate documentation and financial records;
  • Contribute to internal and external meetings and support projects or enquiries.

What do you need to apply?

  • 104 UCAS points at A-Level or equivalent (B-TEC, T-LEVEL etc)
  • 5 GCSE’s at Grades 9 – 4 (including English & Maths)
  • Right to Work in the UK (we are unable to provide Visa sponsorship for this role)
