Description of Opportunity

Job Purpose including main duties and responsibilities:

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To ensure the smooth day to day operation of tasks within specific areas of the Academy and maintaining and devising efficient and effective administrative processes and procedures
  • To administer effectively the financial systems and procedures within financial regulations and other legal obligations placed upon the Trust
  • To provide comprehensive administration and finance support within the Academy Trust
  • To ensure Health and Safety requirements are met
  • To provide advice and guidance within established frameworks
  • To establish constructive relationships and communicate with other professionals
  • To participate in training opportunities and professional development as required
  • To undertake tasks to support the work of the Finance Manager

Can determine own priorities in order to achieve deadlines, but will seek guidance to resolve conflicting priorities and if assistance is needed with juggling demands.

Maths and English grades 4 or above or equivalent.
Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. This will consist of 1 day a week at college during term time and support from an assessor in the workplace.

This role is based at Chulmleigh Community College and will involve working with the other schools within the Trust. The usual working pattern will be Monday to Friday, ideally from 8.30am – to 4.30pm, including one day per week at Exeter College (during term time). School bus transport may be available from the following areas: Crediton - Copplestone - Morchard Road Torrington - High Bullen - Beaford - Dolton Rackenford - Knowstone - South Molton Barnstaple - Bishops Tawton - Umberleigh - Portsmouth Arms
