  • The Stud - Top, proven bloodlines for both stallions and mares producing quality youngstock for dressage and eventing. Natural covering, fresh, chilled and frozen AI with mares able to come at livery to foal, be put in foal to our stallions or external stallions of your choice. Young Sport Horses & ponies available for sale. Breeders of Champions.
  • Livery - Excellent facilities, qualified, professional staff with bespoke packages for Competition Horses, Stallions, Full, Part and Schooling Livery as well as youngstock and retirement grazing available. Indoor & Outdoor Arenas, Horsewalker, Lunge pen, Solarium, Individual turnout fields, etc. 5* Livery.
  • Training - Schooling for horses, lessons for horses and riders, bespoke short courses available for horse and rider. Dressage Coaches all UKCC Level 3 Qualified.
  • Some of the general duties will include;
  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
  • § Applicants will need to have had some experience with handling and working with horses and should be reliable and trustworthy. You will be working as part of a team so need to be friendly and cheerful with a positive can-do attitude and be willing to learn and develop. Support and training towards your apprenticeship and beyond will be given however, you must be passionate about working with horses and offering them the best care as well as striving to develop and progress yourself.
  • § This is a fabulous opportunity for someone to learn all aspects of horse management. Not only will you have access to a range of learning opportunities to build your equine knowledge and abilities you may also have opportunity to attend and assist at shows and for a suitably competent candidate there may be riding and competing available.
  • § There may be a riding position available dependent on capabilities.
  • § Stud positions available which will include all yard duties.

All apprentices must have previous equine experience as the yard has big, fit competition horses and stallions.
Level 4/Grade C or higher in GCSE's or Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training provided throughout the equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Successful candidate will be confident, hardworking with an outstanding work ethic - Lots of opportunities for those willing to put the dedicated work in!
Possibility of full-time employment upon completion.
