Description
You will be working and training as a Paralegal Data Protection
Apprentice in our busy data protection team, providing administration support
to our consultants and lawyers whilst you work towards your paralegal
qualification.
Duties Involve:
- Supporting our data protection team with client
engagements – data protection policies, supporting data breach assessments,
handling data subject access requests and complaints, completing privacy impact
assessments, support with contractual reviews and other data protection
remediation tasks.
- Review and proofreading legal documentation.
- Legal research and analysis related to a range
of matters including data protection, regulatory, corporate and other matters.
Project Support for ad-hoc and ongoing projects
e.g. e-learning, file reviews, including:
- Updating and circulating project
documentation
- Documenting
actions and following up with relevant team members
- Drafting communications to
departments/teams
- Assist with other ad-hoc duties as and when
required.
The academic part of the apprenticeship is delivered by
Damar Training via face-to-face remote learning. Your studies will be split
into four sections – technical and legal practice, ethics, professionalism and
judgment, managing yourself and your own work, and working with other people.
You’ll be assessed on the skills and knowledge you display at work through the
apprenticeship End Point Assessment.

You will be working towards your Paralegal CILEx level 3
qualification and will receive structured training from our external provider.

This apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for college/sixth form leavers to get a head start in a legal career without going to university. It’s
also suitable for anyone looking for a change of career. We will also consider
recent postgraduates, however if you have a law degree, you already have a
higher level qualification than the one provided by this apprenticeship and
therefore could not be considered
