post holder will work co-operatively as part of the IT Department and deliver
support and solutions direct to end users across the school site to ensure the smooth
running of the IT infrastructure.
Supporting the IT Department
To work cooperatively with the IT Department in
executing the department business plan.
Assisting the whole school end users where required
with problem solving and IT solutions to maximise effectiveness.
To support all IT functions.
To protect, nurture and enhance the Stover brand
and ensure our IT systems are effective, secure, and operationally efficient.
Co-ordinate with the IT manager on effective
management of all hardware on site.
To work under the direction of IT manager and Head
of Operations and / or the Bursar to co-ordinate and manage Stover IT hardware
to ensure that all runs smoothly.
To cover duties performed by the IT Manager as and
when required to ensure continuity and smooth running of all systems and liaise
where necessary with our IT partners.

- Knowledge of different sorts of hardware
- GCSE Maths & English at Level 4/C or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
One day a week to be spent at Exeter College working towards:
• Level 3 Information Communications Technician
•End point assessment
• If required: Functional Skills (English, Maths & IT)
This Apprenticeship is recognised for entry onto
the register of IT Technicians, confirming ISFA
Level 3 Professional Competency.
