Description

The successful candidate will undertake a varied general practice role.

Duties will include:

  • Working for a large number of different customers.
  • Completion of bookkeeping work for clients.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  • Reconciling bank accounts.
  • Preparing reconciliation reports.
  • Taking the accounts to trial balance stage.
  • Maintaining relationships with your portfolio of clients.
  • Dealing with enquiries as appropriate.
  • Training clients and other members of the team on accountancy software.

  • IT skills and experience with Microsoft excel, outlook and word.

Professional Accounting Taxation Technician Apprenticeship Level 4


You will be studying the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. After qualifying, you can work in accounting roles or progress onto studying chartered accountancy.


The course is made up of three mandatory units and five optional units. You must pass all the mandatory assessments and two optional unit assessments to achieve the qualification.

Mandatory:

  • Drafting and Interpreting of Financial Statements (DAIF)

  • Applied Management Accounting (AMAC)

  • Internal Accounting Systems and Controls (INAC)


Optional:

  • Business Tax (BNTA)

  • Personal Tax (PNTA)

  • Audit and Assurance (AUDT)

  • Cash and Financial Management (CSFT)

  • Credit and Debt Management (CRDM)


Training will be provided by attending either face-to-face classroom based lessons, Live Online sessions or OnDemand. An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate 20% of your time towards it.
