Description

Reporting to the IT Services Delivery Manager (ITSDM), you will:

  • Complete defined management reporting within agreed timeframes.
  • Respond to requests for new reporting requirements or ad-hoc requests.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks to ensure asset and data integrity.
  • Provide data/trend analysis for IT Systems Management.
  • Work with the ITSDM to respond to internal and external audit requests accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain integrity of configuration management database (CMDB).
  • Contribute to and maintain the CBAM Technology Library and Knowledge base, where relevant to Service Delivery.
  • Participate in IT incident management, communication and reporting.
  • Alongside the ITSDM update and complete bi-annual recertification processes.
  • Complete ITSM system configuration changes under the guidance of the ITSDM.
  • Where required support IT project delivery.
  • Requirement and willingness to perform ad-hoc duties dependant on change in business requirements.

Technical:

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel.
  2. Some knowledge of the following would be welcome but not essential as a trainee.
  3. Knowledge IT Service Desk tools.
  4. Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange.
  5. Basic SQL database knowledge and query skills.

  • A Levels or equivalent.
  • GCSE's grades 9/A* - 4/C including Maths and English or equivalent.

Data Literacy Apprenticeship Level 3.

The Data Literacy Apprenticeship equips individuals with the ability to source, format and present data securely for analysis using basic methods. Apprentices will learn to analyse structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes, blend data from multiple sources and communicate outcomes appropriately to their audience.

All modules consist of online self-paced learning and live online training classes taught by a subject matter specialist. These components are linked to work-based projects that the learner completes to support them in building competencies and their portfolio. The following training modules are completed by apprentices on this standard:

Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate

  • Data Literacy.
  • Data Analysis and Visualisation with Excel.
  • Databases and Data Modelling.
  • Data Challenge.

  • Can communicate well with our end users providing an efficient level of support.
  • Problem solving is the act of defining a problem; determining the cause of the problem, identifying, prioritizing, and selecting alternatives for a solution.
  • Accomplishing tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small; showing concern for all aspects of the job and accurately checking processes and tasks.
  • Windows and Microsoft Office experience.
