Description

Brook Cottage Farm Riding School are excited to be able to offer someone the chance to join the team at their busy school in Hertfordshire. Their lovely well-schooled horses enable them to cater for everyone looking to ride from three years and up. They are also Riding for the Disabled (RDA) accredited.



Yard duties include:

General care: Mucking out (though most horse live out), turning out/bringing in, tack cleaning, grooming, tacking up and untacking for lessons / exercise, feeding, clipping /pulling/ trimming

Riding and schooling: Flat work, jumping, hacking and lunging a range of horses and ponies, from youngsters to school masters.

Dealing with clients: Fitting hats and body protectors, taking bookings and payments, helping in lessons.

Some previous experience around horses would be beneficial.

GCSE passes in English and maths desirable, though not essential. Support to gain a GCSE equivalent qualification will be offered.

Full training will be given by the team at Brook Cottage Farm Riding School, as well as continual support and guidance to gain the skills required from experienced equine training provider, Haddon Training.
