Description
Mediline is looking for flexible, reliable,
enthusiastic, compassionate, caring people to join our team. We provide a
24-hour support service to adults with disabilities in various settings such as
within the person's home, group services, within the community or supporting
people with activities, in the community and at work placements.
The role of support worker is mainly about giving
the people we support the opportunity to maintain their independence and gain
new skills and achieve their dreams and aspirations. We work in a person-centred
way to ensure that the people we support shape their own lives, as a Support
Worker, your job will be to enable them to do this.

A variety of contracts are available to serve the people we support -
Zero hour Relief Support Workers, Permanent full or part time contracts
available for support services. Where
required Sleep in and waking nights.

STANDARD & LEVEL
The successful candidate will work towards completing the Level 2 Adult Care Standard from the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education. Delivered by Blackpool and The Fylde College offering expert tuition and exceptional facilities.

Off-the-job training
Developing your skills at work is called on-the-job training, 20% of your apprenticeship (equal to one full day a week) will be ‘off-the-job’. This might include attending College, tackling projects, online learning, coaching, shadowing, or training for your job.
Stacks of support
Assessment mostly takes place in the workplace. When you start, you will be allocated a skills coach, who will visit you at least once a month to guide and support you and help you to plan for your future. We will also provide you with specialist support for your English and maths and for any additional needs that you make us aware of
