Description

Colne Saddlery are one of the largest equestrian retailers in South West England, operated by a keen riding family who understand the needs and demands of both rider and horse.

The candidate will look after the processing of their website orders each day; pick, pack, dispatch, processing exchanges and returns. Answer general enquiries via phone, email and online chat. Assist with the day to day maintenance of their website and social media platforms. On Saturdays the role would be based in the shop; greeting and assisting customers, processing payments through the till and replenishing stock.

  • Meet and greet visitors in a professional manner
  • Answering the telephone in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ensure effective processing of incoming and outgoing post
  • Taking minutes of meetings as & when required
  • Responding to generic emails
  • Photocopying and scanning documents
  • Assist in maintaining accurate record system including filing, archiving and ensure that all records are clear and precise.
  • Ordering office stationery supplies
  • General data input on computer system
  • General ad hoc administrative duties

Able to work within a small team, quick learner able to follow instructions and to also have a good all round knowledge of horses. Computer literate, ideally enjoying social media and creating content/videos would be advantageous but not essential
GCSE or Equivalent in English and maths.
Full training provided by Colne Saddlery, supported by Haddon Training.

Someone who is outgoing, likeable and professional with excellent attention to detail. We are particularly focused on finding someone who is friendly. You will be an excellent communicator, organised and computer literate with GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English. Previous customer service experience will be beneficial but isn’t essential.
