Description

We are seeking someone to learn all aspects of the office side of our business. We are a small mechanical garage with a workshop where we fix customers' vehicles. We also buy and sell cars. You will have the confidence to deal with our customers over the telephone, face to face and via email/text. We need someone with a flexible, positive attitude, who can multitask with ease in a reactive environment. Our phones can get very busy so we need someone who will stay calm and professional under pressure.


List of duties

  • Answering telephones.
  • Meeting and greeting customers.
  • Compiling and issuing invoices.
  • Receiving payments from customers for works
  • carried out.
  • Creating daily job cards for the mechanics in the workshop.
  • Filing, photocopying.
  • General admin tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets and inhouse customer management system.
  • Sending reminders to existing customers.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Ensuring the office is kept neat and tidy.
  • Occasional pick up/drop off of vehicles locally.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate to ensure the smooth running of the office / business.

IT knowledge including spreadsheets.

Experience of dealing with customers or

willingness to be in a customer facing role.

Ability to multitask.

Current valid driving license would be an

advantage.

Maths and English GCSE/4. IT qualification is an advantage but not essential.


Pleasant, positive attitude.

Confident dealing with people.

Remain calm under pressure.

Sense of humour.
