MA Sport Horses is managed by Malcolm and Alicia who have successfully competed on the showjumping circuit up to 1.40m nationally and internationally. They are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated apprentice groom (either Level 2 or Level 3) to join them as a home groom with opportunity for show grooming. Please read full description below:

Description

MA Sport horses is a showjumping competition yard which also offers Part, Full, Competition or Sales Livery.

They have excellent facilities including and Indoor and 30x50 Outdoor Arena with full sets of show jumps, washdown bays, covered horse walker, all year round turnout and wonderful fully matted stables and auto drinkers as well as tea and coffee facilities for humans!

Malcolm and Alicia have had many apprentices before so are well equipped to support and train an apprentice.

Normal yard duties involved in care of horses, mucking out, changing rugs, putting horses on walker, turnout and bring in, helping with putting fences up to train show jumping horses.


Applicants must be polite, well presented (suitable for a role with horses) and bee able to speak to our liveries. Possibly this position could progress to show groom activities for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate should have a love of horses and understand that horses come with hard work! You should have a method of getting to and from work (lift, bus, driving licence) and if you want to ride you must demonstrate capability.

If you are a honest, hardworking individual with excellent time keeping who wants to work with horses and progress knowledge then we would love to hear from you! The ability to ride is useful but not essential

Working hours 7.30 to 5pm 5 days a week plus statutory breaks (40 hours a week) Requires working one weekend day every week.

Livery for own horse is available.
