Understanding the quality of furniture you are creating; - Producing templates, fabric cuttingSewing operations using a variety of machine types - Assisting in the repair and refurbishment of upholstered office seating
The production manager or team leader will be responsible for allocating tasks, this could include; - simple timber work - drilling of holes etc or backing upholstery of parts using power tools. - Packing of products, picking products and checking against specification sheets. - Plus cutting the fabricsmaterials.Training will be provided to use certain machines, fork lift truck training can be provided to suitable applicant’s. This is a great way of starting at such a progressive company, there will be ample opportunities for the right person going forward.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who would like to learn all the skills required to become a fabric cutter. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a very important skill for our business you will be fully trained by our experienced staff.Job duties would include; - Being shown how to prepare lays of fabric before cutting. - How to mark out cutting plans, - Introduced to hand cutting and shown how to keep methodical records of fabric usage. - This role involves carrying and moving rolls of fabrics around so candidates will need to be physically fit.
- Wood preparation - All aspects of spraying - Finishing furniture - Re-assembling - Quality checking - Assisting with deliveries when required - Working to Health & Safety Regulations
- Assembly of drawers - Supporting colleagues with attaching hinges onto drawers - Shelves and other component assembly - Attaching batons and rails - Supporting on site jobs, help with lifting and shadowing fitters - Become competent on manufacture and assembly of all products - General upkeep of workplace
- To learn all aspects of upholstery - Stripping down furniture - Preparing to upholster items - Leading and carrying upholstery work in a busy workshop - Follow instructions and workload issued by the Production Manager - Keep a clean, tidy and organised work environment at all times - Keep tools and equipment in good working order
-Training to use flat bed industrial sewing machines -Working on an Industrial Sewing Machines manufacturing synthetic slings & load restraints. -Work on a variety of sizes & dimensions during each day -Using a variety of sewing production techniques and methods -Producing sewn items that meet quality standards, targets and deadlines -Monitoring and maintaining the work flow -Routine machine maintenance
- Working closely with experienced staff - Selecting stock and timber - Marking and cutting materials, - Assembly - Using hand and power tools - Operating machinery - Working to Health & Safety Requirements -Potential bench joinery training
