Description

Premiere Dressage are looking for an enthusiastic and positive person who wants to train to be a professional groom. They are are a top class dressage training and livery yard with horses ranging from just backed 4 year olds to established Grand Prix. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with horses, an interest in dressage, enjoy working to high standards.

Your daily duties will be;

  • feeding
  • mucking out
  • grooming
  • tacking up horses for exercise
  • washing off
  • trimming
  • bathing
  • tack cleaning etc

The yard is a friendly happy environment with lovely clients and owners.

The working week is 5 days, 5 day week, working 7.30am to 2pm (with half hour breakfast break) and then 3.30pm to 5pm.

We are equally happy to accept a rider or non rider. ridden training will be provided for riders.

Previous experience with horses is required but not necessarily in dressage. Our horses are very strong so you must be physically fit. to be able to handle them safely.

No specific qualifications required, however if you do not hold a Grade 4/ C GCSE in maths and/ or English, Haddon training will support you to achieve this in Functional Skills.
All training provided on site by the employer and Haddon Training at the employers premises.

Should you need support with your maths and English, this will be provided by Haddon Training also.

They are looking for someone to join the team with a strong work ethic and good communication skills. You must have the ability to use your initiative, look after clients and ensure they enjoy their visit to the yard, happy and with a positive outlook. You must be able to work as part of a team!

You will finish your course as a fully trained dressage groom, you will be travelling to competitions, exercising horses etc.

Accomodation is available on site at the rate of £63.70 per week, and livery could be possible if you are a riding groom on site, but this would be discussed with the successful applicant.
