Description
Edmonds Marshall McMahon is looking for a bright, enthusiastic individual who is keen to use the 18 month apprenticeship as a stepping stone to a more permanent role within the business, on the basis that there are good prospects of advancement available.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties
- Administering and submitting two partner expenses
- Assisting with providing diary management for two partners
- Assisting with scheduling meetings and ensuring that all relevant rooms are booked
for two partners
- Assisting the Executive Assistant arranging travel in the UK and abroad for partners
when required
- Undertaking ad hoc tasks as requested by the partners who rely on your discretion
and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Supporting the other administrative team members in general duties such as:
handling post, telephone calls
- Provide reception cover
- Support on ad-hoc tasks and projects as appropriate
- Collecting/ dealing with the post and DX
- Assisting the Paralegals when required
- Assisting Fee Earners at court when required
Finance Department Duties
- Dealing with and liaising with suppliers
- Photocopying and scanning of documents
- Assisting with closing client files
- Assisting with file opening process
- Data entry and assisting with updating the Case Management system
- Banking
- Maintaining the stationery stock levels
- Assisting with new staff inductions
- Producing and amending client worklogs
- Assisting with overseeing assets management
- Any other finance duty that may arise
Marketing
- Maintaining the weekly introducer report
- Assisting with the articles schedule
- Completing the new enquiries questionnaires and liaising with partners/senior
associates re calls required a follow-up
- Maintaining the new enquiries mailbox folder
- Adding articles to the firm’s website
- Assisting with updating the social media platforms
- Assisting the Executive Assistant with arrangements for company events
Partner Assistance
- Booking travel and accommodation.
- Arranging meetings with clients, coffees with contacts etc and diarising the same
- Typing dictated attendance notes. proofing drafted notes and formatting them
- Adding party names, times etc, and adding them to the file
- Proofing and sending letters
- Organising case files so they are in good order, saved by reverse date order

Apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is delivered
through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the
workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will
be allocated a tutor who will provide a mixture of interactive online group
teaching and 1-1 training monthly.
