Description

We are currently recruiting a Trainee Food & Beverage Specialist to join our very busy Food & Beverage Department. Working in The Lounge, Restaurant and Functions Departments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Assisting in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests

Ensuring that guests are seated and provided with menus promptly

Ensuring that all guests' requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively

Maintaining knowledge of the menus and as much information about the food and beverage offering available to answer any questions guests may have

Taking food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately

Ensuring an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations

Setting up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely manner

Ensuring the restaurant areas are clean and well always presented and assist with cleaning and duties as required

Dealing with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, always ensuring guest satisfaction and that any guest complaints and comments are reported to management

Keeping up to date about expected numbers for breakfast, lunch, dinner and function requirements on a daily basis as necessary

Assisting in the set up and preparation of function rooms, and provide service duties for functions as required

Ensuring that all front of house and guest areas are well always maintained

Any other duties as requested by the Restaurant Manager or other member of the management team

The role and duties will evolve as the development expands and other duties may be required to meet the on-going needs of the company.

Bright outgoing personality, energetic, friendly with great interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team and unsupervised, genuine interest in hospitality industry, reliable and eager to learn.
Possible progression to supervisory role in the future, subject to performance and position availability
Must be 18+ due to hours and alcohol sales
