Description

Collecteco partner with companies across the UK to donate surplus furniture and equipment to charities, schools, NHS trusts and other not for profit good causes.

We are the go to partner for corporates to donate their surplus to where it is needed. We are also the go to partner for good causes to source donations of furniture and equipment so that they can spend their funding on helping people and building stronger communities.


This role will involve working with the Reuse Partnerships Director to communicate with corporates and good causes to source, allocate and manage donations.

The role would suit a hardworking individual who is keen to build a career in customer services. We are a small team that punches well above its weight, so it will also be a varied role and, whilst you will be primarily based on customer service, you may also be called upon to lend a hand in other areas of the business from time to time as we all do.

You'll spend a lot of time on the telephone talking with our corporate and good cause partners to source and find homes for donations, but there will also be some good time spent on the phone. You will need to confident or, with our support, willing to get confident using the phone.

You will also be required to email partners and work with our portal and other software packages.


This is a fast-paced, exciting role with a real opportunity to help the community and the environment by making sure surplus furniture and equipment is donated to where it is needed rather than ending-up in landfill.


List of duties:

  • Communicating with corporate and good cause partners to source, allocate and manage donations. Primarily communication will be on the phone, but you'll also need to email, etc
  • Maintain and manage records of donations via email, our portal and other software
  • Communicate with other team members to ensure that donations run smoothly.
  • Seek feedback from partners and share with colleagues so we can improve our processes.
  • Research corporates and good causes so that we can identify more opportunities to get surplus furniture and equipment to where it is needed in the community.

  • Basic skills a bonus, but not essential as attidtude is more important that experience
  • Computer literate would be an advantage
  • Ability to use or learn how to communicate with partners via the phone

  • English and Maths GCSE desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.

You will be required to attend college one day a week (during term time) working towards your Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship.
