Description

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Bognor Regis - Level 6 Regional Sales & Business - 4 Year Apprenticeship (August 2024)

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is part of the BMW Group and its Goodwood manufacturing plant sits in the heart of the West Sussex countryside.

As the epitome of exclusive super luxury, a Rolls-Royce delivers unmatched quality, style, and performance. Behind the legendary brand is a team of passionate and highly talented people who do their utmost to satisfy the wishes of clients who commission a Rolls-Royce.

The maxim of Sir Henry Royce, ‘take the best that exists and make it better’, permeates in everything we do at Rolls-Royce. As an apprentice, you will have hands-on experience from day one, gaining practical insights into the corporate operations of a world-class automotive manufacturer.

We are looking for a confident and eager to learn apprentice to join our United Kingdom, Europe and Central Asia Regional team, one of five Regions globally, supporting the delivery of the Company’s sales and profit results. In the Regional team, our tasks include all aspects of Sales, Aftersales, Dealer Development, Marketing and Events, underpinned with strong focus on big data analytics and reporting. Our team also drives our dealership sales performance through support initiatives such as our unique customisation programme, Bespoke; our global used car programme, Provenance and our exclusive owners’ membership club, Whispers.

Why choose us?

•Great Pay – A competitive salary enhanced every six months depending on individual progress and performance starting at £18,900 rising to over £35,400 at the end of the programme. You will also receive 27 days holiday (pro rata to your contract) and have access to an attractive pension scheme.

•Rewarding Work-Life Balance – You will have a 40 hour working week. Start and finish times will vary to meet the needs of your work-based placements and college hours.

•Exciting Additional Benefits – Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be supported by our experts and many fellow apprentices. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy other employee benefits including access to our discounts scheme and a subsidised on-site restaurant. If aged 18 and over, you will also have the opportunity to purchase or lease a BMW or MINI vehicle of your choice at a very special and reduced rate as part of your benefits package.

•Development Potential – In the UK, we invest around £3 million per year in vocational and professional training for our employees. This means we invest in you, giving you the relevant BMW specific training that you will require to be an active member of our team.

•Networking Opportunities – With around 8,000 employees and all three of the BMW Groups brands being represented in the UK, there are an abundance of networking opportunities allowing you to create meaningful working relationships.

When it comes to selecting the right apprentices, it’s as much about attitude and behaviours as it is about vocational and academic success. That’s why in addition to the qualifications we require from you, we’ll also look for you to have a range of skills, attributes, and behaviours. These include team working, the ability to work without close supervision, quality focus, good communication skills, enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to take on responsibility and show accountability for your work.

Qualifications and Experience

GCSE Maths & English at a 4 or C Grade

2 A levels (or equivalent) or existing relevant Level 3 qualifications, and English, Maths and ICT at Level 2. Other relevant or prior experience may also be considered as an alternative

Confident interpersonal skills are essential as you will need to build relationships with individuals at various levels of the business.

Your Training - In collaboration with The University of Chichester, the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship aims to provide you with a firm grounding in the principles of management, enabling you to study the nature of organisations through exploring your own experience at work. This programme will also allow you to develop as a self-aware and reflective manager, building your management skills in practice.

The degree apprenticeship is a level 6, 4-year programme combining practical on-the-job training with part-time study at university. The academic sessions are delivered one day a week over three 10-week terms a year.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will have gained a BA (Hons) Management degree and a toolbox of skills for your future career.

Your Year-on-Year Progression - The first year of your apprenticeship will involve you building core knowledge related to Regional Operations and completing the Foundation Year of your BA (Hons) Management degree. This will allow you to take responsibility for project work and operational tasks in the later years of your apprenticeship, putting your skills into practical use. Upon completion of your Apprenticeship, you will have finished your academic studies.

In addition to your time in the Regional team, in the later years of your apprenticeship, there will be opportunities to build your network across the business by undertaking placements in other departments such as Marketing, Sales Operations, and Manufacturing, something that will also allow you to build a wider understanding of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Finally, at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, we have a number of apprentices working within different teams, providing a network to support you throughout the programme.
