Description

Super opportunity has arisen to work with Christy and her friendly team.

Duties will include morning/afternoon stables and general yard duties:-

  • Handling of racehorses
  • Grooming
  • Riding work depending on experience.
  • Mucking out
  • Tacking up


There will be opportunities to go racing and lead up at the races, as well as improve your riding with chances to ride out. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, friendly team and further your skills alongside gaining valuable experience in the racing industry.

The ideal candidate would have a passion for wanting to ride race horses but this position is also open to a non rider.

The apprenticeship is practically based onsite. If you did not achieve your Maths & English grades at school we are able to support you to gain these whilst on programme.

You have to be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for 3 years or more to apply for this position.

Must have horse handling experience due to nature of the horses

A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
