Applications Administrator Apprentice

The quality of our people is critical to our continued success and we are looking for an enthusiastic and competent Applications Administrator who has a passion and desire for customer service and to excel in their role.
As an Application Administrator Apprentice, you will be a real team player and a key member in providing technical support to a range of line of business systems, the day to day delivery of application operations, and delivery of projects in a customer focused environment. You will have a logical and systematic approach to troubleshooting, problem resolution and have the passion and ability to pick up new technologies.
The role is predominantly office based in a single location but may require occasional travel to client or other Agilisys locations. The role may also require occasional evening or weekend work to undertake planned activities such as application upgrades and changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pro-active support to end users, dealing with IT queries relating to applications and systems.
- Managing and prioritisation of incidents and service requests in an ITSM platform (e.g. SupportWorks, ServiceNow etc.) on a first and second tier support basis. Escalation of queries where third tier support is required.
- Managing customer engagement, feedback and queries from ticket creation to resolution within agreed service level agreements.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
To be successful in the post it is essential that you demonstrate the following:
- General knowledge, understanding and skills in ICT gained through work experience, previous employment and/or through education in an ICT subject.
- Excellent all-round organisational, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to empathise and communicate with users of all abilities.
It would be beneficial but not essential if you demonstrated one or more of the following:
- Experience of working within call centre, customer service and/or collaborative support team environment.
- Good overall knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365
- Any experience of using or familiarity with the following systems:
- ICT qualifications from a professional body (e.g. CompTIA)
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future Prospects:
90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6 or Level 8.
