Description

Our client is a leading community-based Housing Association that provides housing and support services to almost 7,000 tenants and owners within Glasgow.  Our customers are at the heart of our business, and we strive to deliver customer service excellence in all that we do. 



Job description:



Join our team as a Modern Apprentice in IT Support, providing assistance and learning opportunities in various IT tasks. Work towards completing the SCQF 6 Modern Apprenticeship - IT Support.



Responsibilities:





  • Configure laptops and address operational issues


  • Provide Microsoft Office 365 application support


  • Assist with Housing Management systems and cyber security


  • Deliver help-desk support to staff


  • Manage ICT inventory and user details


  • Administer Windows 10, Server 2016/2019, and Active Directory




Desirable skills:





  • Basic email, word processing, and customer service skills


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT troubleshooting


  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities


  • Willingness to learn and document IT procedures


  • SCQF Level 5 in English and Maths




Salary:



£16,380 per annum



Working week:



35 hours per week



Benefits:





  • The leave entitlement is 28 days per annum and this is inclusive of public holidays


  • All employees are enrolled onto our health cash plan, Simplyhealth and there is an option to join the pension scheme.




Future prospects:



Apprentices will be eligible to apply for any available vacancies after a period of 18 months. In the event that no such vacancies are present, the apprentice will receive comprehensive preparation and coaching to facilitate their readiness for prospective roles.

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.



On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6 or Level 8.
