BMW Financial Services, Farnborough – Level 3 Sales Executive Support – 18-month Apprenticeship (August 2024)


Our Summit ONE in Farnborough is home to the National Sales Company for the BMW Group in the UK, as well as BMW Group Financial Services which offers retailers, corporate, and private customers a range of customised financial services. Alphabet (GB) Ltd. as a leading provider of Business Mobility Services is also located in Farnborough. We decided in November 2020 to bring together BMW Financial Services and Alphabet to stay relevant to our customers and continue to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.

In the Major Fleet, International & Public Sector Account Development team we are responsible for a portfolio of our largest and most complex B2B (Business to Business) customers. The team look after a variety of duties that are driven around customer retention, growth, and loyalty. Our team are predominantly office-based understanding and supporting customers with their vehicle choices through quoting and ordering, In-Life requirements, providing industry leading support that is strengthened by Alphabets innovative products and services.


What will you be doing?


The following will be your key activities:

Supporting the Management of a portfolio of existing and new International, Major Fleet & Public Sector customers for their car and LCV quote to order requirements.

Manage customer renewals reporting in accordance with Major Corporate & International car policies, which supports a proactive “phone first” approach.

Producing accurate complex quotations for high-value car and LCV fleets.

Analyze KPI reporting and customer data to identify process improvements and opportunities for digital solutions.

Build and develop collaboration with internal and external customers and suppliers.


The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

GCSE level 5/C+ (Or equivalent) English, Maths.

Experienced user of Microsoft Office and Outlook.


Your Progression -

The Sales Executive apprentice will undertake 15 months of practical training followed by three months for an End Point Assessment. The EPA will consist of a knowledge test, Portfolio based interview and a project/improvement presentation.

The apprenticeship will comprise:

Work-based training at BMW UK Summit One, Farnborough.

10 days college attendance to complete the Business Professionals course

Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year

Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)

Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at work


Successful completion of the apprenticeship will result in the achievement of a Level 3 in Business Administration.
