Description

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood – Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions (Interior Surface Finishing) – 4 Year Apprenticeship (August 2024)

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is part of the BMW Group and its Goodwood manufacturing plant sits in the heart of the West Sussex countryside.

As the epitome of exclusive super luxury, a Rolls-Royce delivers unmatched quality, style and performance. Behind the legendary brand is a team of passionate and highly talented people who do their utmost to satisfy the wishes of clients who commission a Rolls-Royce.

The maxim of Sir Henry Royce, ‘take the best that exists and make it better’, permeates in everything we do at Rolls-Royce. As an apprentice, you will gain practical insights into the corporate operations of a world-class automotive manufacturer while developing yourself and your career.

Our department designs and produces interior surface components using a variety of materials and finishes. Throughout the process we combine craftmanship with technology to exacting standards. It is our attention to detail that produces world class interiors. That technology often involves complex computer programmes that are designed in-house to make manufacture easier. We are seeking one apprentice to join our team commencing end of August 2024.

As an apprentice you will quickly learn the fundamentals of automotive planning and manufacturing from a programming and systems support perspective. The principal role is to construct robust computer programmes using cutting edge skills.

The technical and maintenance teams you will be working with at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars are responsible for the rapid detection, rectification and prevention of faults within our manufacturing facilities. They also control the operation, programming and maintenance of our automated production equipment. Your final goal will be to become a productive member of these elite teams.

You will need to be enthusiastic and well-disciplined as our apprenticeship is heavily focused on attitude and behaviour. In addition, you need to exhibit initiative, be reliable and conscientious. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to think logically and to work both independently and as part of a team.

What will you be doing?

Supporting the detailed computer programming activities of the Interior Surface Centre.

Working with highly experienced engineers on existing and exciting new and processes.

Working with planning and production teams to solve problems and bring solutions.

Being part of the team working on exciting future Rolls-Royce products.

Developing knowledge in sound programming.

Being self-motivated to bring about change for the better.
