Description

The employer are looking for a non-riding L2 or L3 apprentice groom - but will consider a rider if at a good standard.


All usual yard duties including:

  • Tacking up
  • mucking out
  • Turning out and bringing in
  • Feeding
  • any other reasonable duties

Basic previous experience with horses is essential.
GCSE pass in maths English preferred but not essential. If you have not got Grade 4 or equivalent in these subjects, Haddon training will support you in completing Functionals Skills Level 2.
  • All training will take place at the employer's premises, with the support of the employer, and will be carried out by Haddon Training
  • you will be working towards the Equine groom Level 2 (GCSE) Apprenticeship Standard or the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom.
The employer is looking for someone who is friendly and wants to learn!
Can start at Level 2 and progress onto Level 3 if required.

There is the possibility of supporting the senior team and becoming a head person if that is something you would like to aspire to.

There may be a requirement to travel so any applicant must be happy to do this.

No accommodation is available on site so any applicant must be able to make their own way to and from the yard each day. The employer can provide livery for your own horse if required.
