Description

Scalers Hill Livery Stables is a small friendly yard with 20 stables, 25 acres of grazing, 20 x 40 Rubber strip & sand floodlit school.

They are looking for a new team member to join them as either a Leve 2 or 3 equine apprentice groom. Usual jobs would include: feeding, turn out & bring in, rug changes as required, daily muck out, hay nets & general care.

Previous experience is desirable however, the main requirement is that the person is passionate about wanting to work with and care for horses.

The position is a 30 hour week and will include some weekends.

Starting wage is apprentice NMW but may be increased with experience.

Livery for own horse may be possible and to be discussed at interview/trial.

If we find the right candidate then the position will be closed before the advertised dates.

Some equine experience is desirable, you should be keen and passionate about working in the equine industry.

Good communication skills and team work would be needed.

GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
