teams, leveraging your expertise to defend against cyber threats,

a Cyber Security apprentice at Amazon, you’ll gain a vast range of
useful experiences and skills. You will work towards the Level 6 Cyber
Security apprenticeship standard, and also work towards a BSc (Hons)
Cyber Security Technical Professional degree.
Key job responsibilities
will be combining working in your assigned team as a Cyber Security
apprentice whilst continuing your studies to achieve your qualification.
As a working student your focus is to complete your studies in your 20%
off the job time by learning and developing your skills, knowledge and
behaviours to work towards successful graduation. You will be set
objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support
You will build your skills over a 42-month period,
starting in September. These skills will help you develop personally and
professionally. Your apprenticeship will be made up of
classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge, on-the-job training
at your Amazon base location, online learning as well as mentoring from
our experienced team members.
As you progress through your apprenticeship you will become competent at:
- Identifying and analysing potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
Working on incident response procedures and recovery plans.
Collaborating with your team to implement security measures and

You'll gain expertise in incident response and recovery, acquiring
skills to detect and effectively respond to security incidents while
learning how to recover systems following a breach.

security policies to shield organisations from vulnerabilities.
Additionally, it covers vulnerability assessment and management,
enabling individuals to identify and address potential weaknesses in
systems and networks. You will also delve into compliance and legal
aspects, developing your understanding of cybersecurity laws and ethical
considerations for secure practices.

Candidates should be 18 years or over before the start date and have the right to live and work in England PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
the apprenticeship program we prioritise applicants eligible to
government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to:
- Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
- Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
- Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2024 or later
- At least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English
You must also have a minimum of 112 UCAS points, which includes 1
stem related qualification at level 3 (A-level, BTEC, etc)
*You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship*
note, you will be required to evidence your qualifications. If you have
gained qualifications outside of the UK you will be required to
evidence that they are equivalent.
Note: This Apprenticeship
assumes the candidate has some or little knowledge/experience of the
occupation, and is NOT suitable for candidates who already have a
similar or higher-level qualification in the same or similar subject of

- You are able to operate in a fast-paced environment
- You are able to demonstrate drive and a passion for learning
