We treat horses suffering from a wide range of physical, emotional and behavioural problems, some for whom modern drug therapy has failed We keep the owners well informed of their horse’s progress

Description

Duties to include

•Mucking out

•Turning out/bringing in

•Tack cleaning

•Tacking up

•Feeding

•Filling hay nets

•Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming

•Bathing

•Rug changing

•Schooling

•Riding

•First aid

•Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)

•Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

•Handling competition horses (dependent on ability)

•Competing (dependent on ability)

Some horse care experience would be advantageous.
Ability to complete Level 1 functional skills if not already acheived.
Full apprenticeship training provided by Haddon Training, and maths and English functional skills if required.

Possibility of completing a Level 3 apprenticeship
