Description

At Aquarius we balance quality, fine dining with a relaxed feel. Everything we do is offered to an incredibly high standard with one of the largest cocktail menus in the South West complimented by incredible grilled seafood, great vegetarian and vegan options, tapas and contemporary dishes. As a team member at Aquarius you will have full classic Italian barista training, training in over 70 in-house made cocktails, fine dining inspired service, restaurant management and bookings, customer and table service, running food and drinks, making drinks, training in sommelier as well as general duties like events, social media, cleaning and accommodation.

List of Duties:

  • Restaurant Management: Bookings, guest service,
  • food and drink service, coffees and cocktails.
  • Event Management and preparation: including our
  • festivals, weddings, parties and special events.
  • Mixology and drink making from the extensive bar
  • including barista and sommelier with our comprehensive wine menu.
  • hosting cocktail classes, tasting experiences including gin, rum and tequila
  • Serving food, afternoon teas and running private hire catering events.
  • Some assistance with food prep may be required as well.
  • Aiding with social media and managing online bookings.
  • Caring for our onsite guests in our log cabins and
  • assisting in the onsite shop if and when needed.
  • General cleaning duties.
  • Service prep including the bar and restaurant.

We are looking for an applicant who is wanting to progress and make the role “their own”, we will offer the training to give you the freedom to run the restaurant and to host your own tasting classes, we have one of the largest cocktail menus in the south west which you will be trained in a way comprehensive enough that you will be able to help develop drinks in the future. We are looking for a candidate to progress with the business and develop, there will be opportunities to curate and host your own events, be it charity auctions or themed dinner nights - relaying with the kitchen and working together as a cohesive team to move the business forward. This is a role for someone willing to learn, to work hard and grow with us
Due to location and late hours we ask that our candidates are able to drive. There are times the business will require long working hours with faced-paced food and drinks orders, including special events like our annual festival or Christmas Eve Brunch and there are other days when the work is slower and more prep based - such is the nature of a kitchen
