Description

An amazing opportunity has arisen at Royale Equine. Joe Maher has 20 years of experience working with and training young horses and bringing them up through the levels from British Novice to International level. The yard manager Lauren has an exciting string of horses and is competing at FEI events internationally.

Comprising of 14 stables (all with rubber matting), covered monarch horse Walker, 60×40 outdoor school with Martin Collins surface, X-country field, 3-mile gallops and extensive off road hacking they have exceptional facilities to support a varied regime for our horses.

The apprenticeship is work based on site so allows you to develop all areas of your knowledge and skills whilst working. You should have a passion for horses and be kind and empathic.

You will have the opportunity to ride a variety of horses and if you wanted you can compete at shows. The job role will also include general yard duties:-

  • Lunging
  • Preparing for shows
  • Clipping
  • Mucking Out
  • Applying massage rugs
  • Riding

If you didn't achieve your Maths & English grades at school we are able to support you and develop these skills whilst on programme.

There is no accommodation on site or own horse allowed. The interview will consist of a trial day at the yard.

You MUST be a UK resident or have lived in the EU to be eligible to apply for this role.

Competent at handling horses

A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
