You'll work closely with a product team to understand the business needs and convert them into technical plans. Writing code, configuring, and developing custom workflows, integrating D365 with other systems, and managing releases will also be part of your responsibilities.
Additionally, you'll provide ongoing support and maintenance for the developed solutions.

Duties:
You will be involved in some of the following activities:
Software Engineering:

  • Responsible for configuration and customisation of D365 to meet the specific needs of Irwin Mitchell. This would involve configuring entities, adding fields and creating/modifying forms, workflows, and business rules

  • Responsible for the development of software enhancements, extensions, defect corrections, and integration of features in D365 CE

  • Automating the build process using Azure DevOps Pipelines

  • Automating the deployment process for D365 solutions, using Azure DevOps Pipelines

  • Managing source control for D365 solutions, using Azure Dev Ops Repos

  • Monitoring the CI/CD pipeline for issues and troubleshooting any problems that arise

Software Process Efficiency:

  • You can support specific activities to improve development processes. [You can spot or identify obvious deficiencies]

  • Identify process optimisation opportunities with guidance and contribute to the implementation of proposed solutions

Service Support:

  • Responsible for providing ongoing maintenance and support for the solutions you develop which could involve troubleshooting issues, resolving bugs, and providing technical support

  • You can help identify, locate, and fix faults and defects

Who is it for?

  • A desire to learn and who wants to forge a long-standing career within the IT arena

  • A passion and curiosity for technology, programming, and problem solving

  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset

  • Experience with different coding languages would be an advantage but not essential

  • Work well within a team and independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Entry requirements:
