We are committed to supporting you as you embark in your role. This support will involve collaboration with you, your line manager, and your training provider. As an apprentice you will spend 20% of your working week dedicated to off-the-job training, with the rest of your time spent working in our UK businesses.
Finance Analyst Apprenticeship
To realise Shell’s Powering Progress strategy, the Group will need a simple and agile corporate holding and financing structure and an effective treasury function to manage and deploy capital where required for new opportunities, facilitating the management of group debt and group cash, whilst successfully navigating a continuously evolving and competitive external landscape.
The Finance Analyst within Treasury is part of the Corporate Controllers organisation, our Centre of Expertise for technical accounting, risk management and Group structuring. You will help provide analysis and feed into guidance on treasury risks and reporting in structuring and financing transactions.
You will have the opportunity to partner with colleagues in our Treasury, Tax and Legal organisations to deliver structuring and financing transactions, serving as the ‘voice’ of finance to drive effective risk management and value protection to support quality decision making.
As a Finance Analyst you will:
•Gather data and provide analyses which helps support expert decision making of project teams and technical guidance for treasury reporting.
•Gather data and provide analyses which supports an effective control environment for treasury reporting.
•Provide input into the continuous improvement of processes.
•Execute standardised accounting and controlling activities.
•Support departmental priorities in learning & development, DEI and other areas.
We expect that you will be willing to study towards an accounting qualification (CIMA or equivalent).

What do we want to see from you:
To be eligible for the Finance Analyst apprenticeship programme you must:
-Obtain a Grade C or above in at least 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics (9-4 within the new grading system) ) or A Level 3 qualification such as A levels, NVQs, a BTEC or a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
-Be aged 18 or over at the start of the programme in September 2024. If you’re studying A-levels or completing further education, you must be due to complete your qualifications in 2024.
-Hold a valid passport/birth certificate/residence permit and National Insurance Number.
-You must have lived in the UK and/or EU for 3 years prior to the apprenticeship start date.
