Description
We are looking for bright, creative-minded individuals with a positive attitude, who can enrich our team. From designing flood defences to highways, our Civil Engineering Apprentices have the opportunity to learn engineering practices and make a real impact. Providing drawing support, the Apprentice role provides the opportunity to learn AutoCAD, 3D highway and hydraulic drainage modelling software packages. Other duties include liaising with the in-house design team and contractors and answering and problem-solving questions in relation to technical detailing. Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel) will develop within the role.
List of duties:
- Liaising with the Design Engineer and co-ordinating the AutoCAD detailing on each project
- Learning the latest finite 3D design software which we have in house including AutoCAD, PDS and the latest 3D drainage simulation software
- Liaising with the in-house design team
- Working with Contractors
- Answering and problem-solving questions in relation to technical detailing
