Why our client?



Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as an IT Support Apprentice. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity for a young apprentice to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of IT and telecommunications. As a junior member of their team, you will work closely with experienced professionals to provide technical support and assistance to their clients.



Responsibilities:





  • Provide first-line technical support to users


  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems


  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and telecommunications equipment


  • Install and update software applications, perform system upgrades and ensure systems are operating efficiently


  • Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or in person


  • Documenting all support activities


  • Assist with the implementation of IT projects and initiatives


  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, training materials and knowledge base articles




What do they need from you?





  • An interest in IT and/or telecommunications technology with a desire to develop technical skills


  • A basic understanding or computer hardware, software, networking concepts and telecommunication principles


  • Ability to work in a team environment




Salary:



£17,000 - £20,000 per annum



Working week:



Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.



On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 8.
