Description
There is no doubt that early years careers can be hard work, but there are also endless rewards. It is a privilege to work with early years children in helping them to grow and have a lot of fun.
The role will be 4 days per week (we are closed on Fridays)
Duties will include -
- Nappy changing
- Activities with the children
- Reading to children
- Going on park / library visits
- Preparing food
- Keeping the setting tidy & clean -
This is not an exhaustive list. It is a busy at home early years setting.

A level 2 in maths and English desirable
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Keli's Little Gems will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Keli's Little Gems' dedicated training provider, Realise.
