• Reporting to the Workshop Manager, and working alongside the team of experienced and highly skilled Furniture Makers, and wider team such as Designers and Technical Draughts people.• Learn the techniques and methods of making components and how to assemble furniture. Learning jointing methods, gluing-up, lamination, veneer and wood selection, material selection.• Learn about prototyping, jigs and templates, incorporating work by others such as glass, metal, stone.• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings to make furniture: tables, chairs, cabinets, for homes and Superyachts.• Learning to work with accuracy and precision, whilst understanding high quality expectations need to be met.• Will be taught how to use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as larger woodworking machines.• Admin duties like ordering materials, glues, screws for the workshop. Stock keeping of materials used.
