Description
Supporting the preparation and maintenance of utilities designs and drawings including,
- Utilities and flood risk assessments, highways and drainage design using CAD, PDS and Win Des (training available)
- Liaison with clients, the design team, consultants and approving authorities
- Production and management of CAD drawings
- Supporting engineers with project design and report work
- Assisting with calculations and contributing to solutions for the design team
- Contributing to the implementation of office standards
- Maintaining project files and drawing records
- Participation in site/client/office visits and meetings
- Working independently and as a member of the team to meet agreed deadlines

Maths and English GCSE – grade C/4 (or equivalent)
Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard
Level 3 BTEC in Construction in the Built Environment: Civil Engineering
Key qualities include an eye for detail, problem solving skills, a good level of maths and science, IT skills for CAD and other design and computer software, strong communication and presentation skills, plus being organised and ambitious.
Attending college on a day release basis to gain Level 3 qualification progressing to Level 4 study.
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to attend University.
Please note the hourly rate will be discussed on appointment based on the candidates level of experience
We currently have an apprentice undertaking L3 Civil Engineering at Exeter College and two apprentices at Exeter University obtaining their degrees and EngTech status.
