Description
Assisting the established team to deliver effective and professional services for a wide range of projects including roads, pavements, car parks, drainage and earthworks from the planning stage through to construction and adoption
Supporting the preparation and maintenance of designs and drawings Utilities and Flood Risk Highways and drainage design using CAD, PDS and Win Des (training available)
Liaison with clients, design team consultants and approving authorities Contributing to implementation of office standards
Production and management of CAD drawings
Assisting engineers with project design and report work Assisting with calculations, contributing to solutions for the design team
Communication between client and design team consultants Maintaining project files and drawing records. Site/client visits
Working independently and as a member of the team Meeting agreed deadlines

Maths and English GCSE – grade C/4 (or equivalent)
Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard
Level 3 BTEC in Construction in the Built Environment: Civil Engineering
Key qualities include an eye for detail, problem solving skills, a good level of maths and science, IT skills for CAD and other design and computer software, strong communication and presentation skills, plus being organised and ambitious.
Attending college on a day release basis to gain Level 3 qualification progressing to Level 4 study.
