Description
We are looking for a young dynamic trainee accounting who is looking to start a career in accountancy practice.
Initial duties will be:
- Completion of weekly and monthly payrolls for clients.
- Pension scheme returns.
- Completion of VAT returns and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks and dext software.

- IT Skills are essential for the role including Microsoft word, excel and outlook.
- A good knowledge of Maths and English.

- GCSE's grades 9/A* - 5/B including Maths and English.
Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Level 2.
This level is ideal for existing staff or new talent in accounting and finance. Their work could include basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry.
Learners will complete the mandatory AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. The Certificate in Accounting comprises of four exams and an End Point Assessment. You must successfully complete the following:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping (ITBK)
- Principles of Bookkeeping Control (POBC)
- Principles of Costing (PCTN)
- Business Environment (BESY)
- EPA - In Tray exercise
An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate time to off the job training, as well as completing knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with your apprenticeship.
- Good communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and be able to work on their own initiative once they have been given sufficient training.
- The candidate must be of smart appearance and be able to work in an office environment.
Good opportunities to progress to the final AAT qualifications and then to ACCA qualifications, will have the opportunity to progress to completion of accounts, for sole traders partnerships and limited companies and will also have the opportunity to progress to completion of tax returns, and Corporate tax.
