Description

Four Winds Equestrian is an established BHS and ABRS centre which also runs a well attended pony club.

They also offer a range of livery packages and deliver riding lessons for all ages and abilities with a good selection of horses and ponies including school masters. They have excellent facilities including indoor school and outdoor arena.

They are an active RDA group at the yard so any interest in this would be advantage.

All usual yard duties would be included such as mucking out, turning out and bringing out, feeding and watering, grooming, tacking up, keeping the yard clean and tidy.


Applicants must already have basic skill level of working with horses but there will be plenty of support to improve. Regular lessons and chance to compete at our shows.

If you are interested in coaching then there is a chance to train for this.

You must be reliable and trustworthy and able to follow instructions.

30-40 hours a week over 4 to 5 days.

Trial will consist of a trial day at the yard.

The apprenticeship is based practically onsite so not lots of time spent in the class room. If you did not gain your Maths and English GCSE's at school we can support you to do this on programme.

You must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for 3 years or more to apply for this role.

A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
