They have an exciting opportunity for a level 3 apprentice to work in the Explorers Day Nursery.
Within this role you will be expected to;
- To work as an assistant teacher within one of our rooms with children ages 0-5.
- To contribute to discussions around the development of the nursery setting.
- To act as a co-key person to a group of children, building secure relationship and supporting with appropriate record keeping.
- To be responsible and committed to protecting all children within your care, at all times.
- To develop a knowledge of all safeguarding and child protection policies - in particular, the process for reporting any concerns, including concerns about colleagues. (Please see separate Whistleblowing Policy) ensuring all child protection, safeguarding,
- To safeguard and promote the welfare of children by ensuring health & safety policies and procedures are followed at all time.
- To always report any concerns about practice or child welfare to the nursery management team without delay
- To have a commitment to learning to develop an understanding of exceptional practice, with a determination to always ensure high quality teaching education.
- To keep up to date with all legislation, and changes to national policy
- To support the Nursery Teachers in creating an engaging and stimulating learning environment for the children to explore and learn, providing provocations around their interests using ‘Planning in the moment.’
- To build strong relationships with parents, knowing them by name.
- To act always as an exceptional role model for children and colleagues.
- To complete required training, as set out in the induction programme or as set by the nursery management team.
- To be a flexible member of staff, within the nursery day.
- To perform any other roles as requested by the Room Leader and Nursery Management Team.
