Description

  • Collating job packs for all laser cut and punched sheet metal WIP jobs to calculate and procure materials required accurately.
  • Liaise with the production manager on priority of works during weekly production meetings.
  • Create CAD programmes for the machines to produce parts from.
  • Ensuring certificates of conformity are requested when required on ordering of materials.
  • Ensure while creating nesting's it is done with efficient material usage.
  • Assisting to organise the design office, through updating files & recording / organising current and obsolete design data.
  • • Assisting the design office and production team with producing estimate's/quotations for laser cutting and punching of sheet metal components.

The role will become far more in depth with design as the candidates experience and ability improves over time.

Whilst learning on the job, you will attend Exeter College 2 days a week and work towards the Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship.
