Description

An experienced Rider is required to join the friendly team. Small successful flat racing stables in the Cotswolds. Need A Change? Higher Wages Better Hours & Free Accommodation. Successful family yard with the opportunity to progress. Full time 40 hours per week week end off. 45 Hours week end working. Expenses. Insurance. Bonuses. Nice horses to ride and look after. Excellent facilities top wages and CORRECT hours (starting at 7am to 12.30 then 3.30 to 5.30). Riding 2 to 4 horses a day. * Come and ride out and meet us* Excellent FREE accommodation is available on or off site.

Experience with horses/racehorses is essential. Please note that applicants with no experience will not be considered for this position.

- A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Successful candidate will be;

  • A competent rider
  • Familiar with the racing weight restrictions that apply (max. 10 stone for this position)
  • Confidence to ride out on gallops
  • Willing to work outside in all weather
Possibility of Level 3 Senior Equine Racing Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2, Future prospects of developing a career in the racing industry.
Accommodation is available on-site if needed.
