Description
The duties consist of:
- Creating purchase orders for the various companies at the request of various Trust officers
- Recording incoming invoices for payment against the correct company
- Recording donations received against the correct company. As the Trust is a registered charity, this is a particularly important part of the Accounts Assistant’s duties
- Recording income from sales of rail tour tickets and rail tour merchandise against the correct tours
- Reconciling incoming invoices with the relevant Purchase Order
- Obtaining approval for the issue of purchase orders to suppliers and payment of supplier invoices using Dropbox HelloSign software.
- Creating and issuing invoices to customers for services and products supplied by the Trust
- Reconciling the various company bank statements monthly
- Creating inter-company recharge invoices monthly
- Recording intercompany financial transactions
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for each company
