Description

Compliance remit:

1.Assist with training on Standard Operating Procedures in line with UK and Irish regulation

2. Monitoring business activities in line with internal Standard Operating Procedures

3. Involvement in commercial / Legal and compliance discussions and providing input together with Senior Legal Counsel and Compliance Manager

4. Live monitoring of Surgical Vision and Vision Care events to see the end to end process from cross functional planning to implementation


Legal Remit:

1. Review and/or drafting of agreements and templates

2. Drafting of company paperwork to ensure compliance with companies house


Employee relations remit:

1. Document preparation: assisting in the preparation of various documents, such as meeting agendas, minutes, drafting policies or procedures.

2. Active participation in consultations: The apprentice will actively participate in employee relations consultations, offering support to HR professionals and gaining practical experience in handling various issues and concerns raised by employees.

3. The apprentice will assist in providing guidance on x employee relations cases, under the supervision of experienced HR professionals. This may involve conducting research, gathering relevant information, and contributing insights to help resolve issues effectively.

Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources such as databases, libraries, and online platforms to gather relevant information and precedent.

Legal Writing: Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as memos, briefs, contracts, and correspondence using clear and concise language.

A 2:2 honours degree in law, or

A 2:2 honours degree in a non-law subject and a minimum pass in a PGDL/GDL

Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Critical Thinking: Capacity to think critically, anticipate potential challenges, and develop strategic solutions to legal problems or disputes.
