As a Sanitation Operative at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the health and safety of all staff, contractors to site and visitors to site, the minimisation of impact to the environment whilst operating the site, delivering customer expectations in terms of service and product quality, and operating the site in an efficient and effective manner in line with the annual budget.
This vacancy is for a part-time position, working 5 days per week, however.

What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Contract Administration Manager for the SPV (re3 Ltd), the role is focused on the delivery of an effective and high-quality cleaning service.
The work is based on the four operational facilities at Smallmead:
• Offices and rest room facilities
• HWRC rest room facilities
• MRF rest room facilities
• Weighbridge office
Key Responsibilities
1. General cleaning of all areas within the re3 office building as directed.
2. Specialised cleaning of areas such as Weighbridge, HWRC canteen and toilets.
3. Emptying waste and recycling bins, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
4. Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops.
5. Mopping floors with wet or damp mops.
6. To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments.
7. To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, centrefeeds, dishwasher tablets) if and when required.
8. To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, showers and mirrors.
9. The use of chemical agents as directed, after receiving training and instructions.
10. To undertake wall washing or inside windowpane cleaning to a height no greater than body height plus and arm’s extension from floor level, during periodic cleaning maintenance programmes.
11. To clean microwaves, fridges and work surface areas.
12. Brush and mop internal entrance, stairs and first floor stairways.
13. Identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to the line manager.
14. Comply with all safety and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies and incident or accident reporting. Not required as stated in SHEQ requirements.
