Description

  • We are seeking a kind, motivated individual to join our innovative team as an Early Years Apprentice in Kinderview Day Nursery.

  • You will be working alongside our team to maintain our high childcare standards and be required to undertake cleaning and care duties, such as nappy changing and bottle feeding.
  • During the course of the apprenticeship you will be expected to;

•Take part in delivering the highest standards of care throughout the nursery.

•Demonstrate a high commitment to Kinderview’s Core Values in all work undertaken.

•Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements and assist in maintaining records of each child’s day to day activities and development for parents using Kinderview Learning Journey.

•Assist in the supervision of children at play (indoors and outdoors) and at mealtimes.

•Assist in the delivery of the EYFS Curriculum.

•Contribute towards the planning and development of inspiring, enabling environments where children initiate play.

•Assist in the completion of daily checklists as required.

•Contribute towards providing enriched environments where children value and respect different cultures, religion, language and disability and ensure that activities reflect this within the setting.

•Adhere to welfare and safeguarding children procedures.

•Demonstrate a commitment to understanding how children develop.

•Be involved in events, assist with the positive promotion of Kinderview, attend training, open evenings/days, parents evenings and staff meetings.

•Assist in the undertaking of domestic duties where required such as the preparation of snacks and cleaning and tidying of rooms ensuring hygiene levels are of the highest standards.

•Adhere to Kinderview’s policies and procedures, Health & Safety requirements including fire procedures and routines for safe drop off and pick up of children.

•Be ‘in tune’ and attentive to the children’s needs at all times.

•Ensure that every child feels safe and secure.

•Ensure the general cleanliness of the children always.

•Carry out other reasonable tasks as requested by the Manager / Nursery Owners.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Kinderview Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day


You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:


  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered through Kinderview Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise
